Thousand Islands Parekraf Tightens Health Protocols Monitoring

Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency together with COVID-19 Task Force increased in monitoring health protocols compliance during the long holiday.

Adherence to this health protocol is very important for the sustainability of tourism and economic sectors in the region

Thousand Islands Parekraf Sub-agency Head, Puji Astuti conveyed, monitoring was tightened in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission during transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period which allowed activities in tourism sector.

"In this monitoring, we focus on tourists to comply on wearing mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap in running water. Adherence to this health protocol is very important for the sustainability of tourism and economic sectors in the region," he stated, Saturday (10/31).

If tourists are disciplined and adhere to health protocols, he continued, tourism can remain safe to continue and people can remain productive.

"Thus we need people's awareness to protect each other by implementing health protocols well," he asserted.
